In order to correctly account for outgoing waves, perfect reflection-free radiation boundary conditions are used on the surface of a sphere. These are computationally most effective if the particle wavefunction is expanded in the set of spherical harmonics and computations are performed in the Kramers-Henneberger accelerated frame. The method allows one to solve the full ionization dynamics in intense laser fields within a small region of atomic dimensions.

A Numerical Improvement in Analyzing the Dynamic Characteristics of an Electrostatically Actuated Micro-beam in Fluid Loading with Free Boundary Approach
Electrostatically actuated microbeams have been studied by many researchers in the last few years. The aim of this study is to present an improved numerical analysis of the dynamic instability of a cantilever microbeam immersed in an incompressible viscous fluid. The finite element method is used for solving the vibrational equation of the microbeam and the potential functions of the fluids in ...

In this article, a meshless method based on exponential basis functions (EBFs) is presented to simulate the harmonic waves with moving free-surfaces generated by the piston-type wave maker. Accordingly, velocity potential is adopted in a Mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian (MEL) approach. Boundary conditions are met through a point-wise collocation approach. In order to update the geometry in the simulat...
متن کاملBoundary-free scaling calculation of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation for laser-atom interactions
The time-dependent Schrödinger equation for atoms in an intense laser field is solved in scaled coordinates. Starting with the time propagation of a free particle, we show that scaling removes the spreading and rapid phase variation of a wave packet. By solving the one-dimensional model atom in an intense laser field, we show that stable numerical results are best calculated in the acceleration...
متن کاملExact analytical approach for free longitudinal vibration of nanorods based on nonlocal elasticity theory from wave standpoint
In this paper, free longitudinal vibration of nanorods is investigated from the wave viewpoint. The Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory is used for nanorods modelling. Wave propagation in a medium has a similar formulation as vibrations and thus, it can be used to describe the vibration behavior. Boundaries reflect the propagating waves after incident. Firstly, the governing quation of nanoro...
متن کاملModeling generation and characterization of attosecond pulses
Generation of high-order harmonics has emerged as a powerful technique for the generation of broadband coherent radiation in the EUV regime. This has lead to the development of table-top EUV sources that can produce attosecond pulses. These pulses can serve as a probe to resolve atomic attosecond dynamics and image atomic orbitals and molecular motion. Due to high spatial and temporal coherence...
